Her City, Our Europe” pays tribute to the women who have shaped the culture of Timișoara and those who have fought for European unity, offering the people of Timișoara a journey through lesser-known histories that will reshape the narrative of the city, Europe, and their cultural and geographical landscapes by reclaiming their feminine dimension.

Guided by the next generation of feminists, women will reconnect with the history of the city and Europe—one in which they have always played a part—through a shared story of a fairer, freer, and more equitable world. Through three unique cultural experiments, the project helps shape a common European identity and an inclusive future in which women are an integral part.

HerCity maps out the feminine geography of Timișoara, while HerEurope highlights the contribution of women to European construction. HerParty celebrates the energy and courage of past generations through a musical event featuring women who have embraced unconventional music genres, honoring them as sources of inspiration and true role models.

The “Her City, Our Europe” logo is more than just a graphic symbol—it is a gateway to the story this project tells. The letter E, stylized as steps, represents the gradual ascent of women toward visibility, recognition, and power. Each step signifies a moment in history when women contributed to culture, politics, and European unity, as well as a step forward toward a more equitable future.

A Design That Gives Voice to Women’s History

The organizers wanted the event’s visual identity to reflect the essence of the project: reclaiming the feminine dimension of the city and Europe. Thus, the graphic concept was built around the ideas of journey, progress, and reconnection.

At the heart of the visuals is the logo—an E transformed into steps, symbolizing not just progress but also the traces left by the women who built this history. The E is framed by dynamic lines, inspired by old maps of Timișoara, but redesigned in a fluid manner, symbolizing women’s contribution to the geography and culture of the city.

The Visual Experience of the Three Event Pillars

HerCity: On Timișoara’s feminine map, the visuals include silhouettes of women superimposed on historical buildings. Each location becomes a meeting point between past and present, between the women who were and those who are today.

HerEurope: The design highlights stories of women who contributed to building Europe through projections on iconic buildings and interactive installations. The graphic elements play with the idea of interconnection—lines merging to form a powerful network.

HerParty: Here, the visuals become electrifying, inspired by unconventional music styles. Posters and event decorations use dynamic graphic effects, reflecting the experimental sounds of the invited female artists.

The event is not just a celebration but a visual and conceptual statement about women, their forgotten past, and a future that includes them. And each step in the E of the logo reminds us that history is built step by step—and now, women are rising higher than ever.
